About Chris

Chris Moon is a writer and filmmaker with an MFA in Screenwriting from the Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Film and Animation. As an undergrad, he received a BA in Philosophy, and before his enrollment at RIT, his pilot script, "Nova & The Reaper," was named a Quarterfinalist in ScreenCraft's 2022 Animated Screenplay Competition. He continued working on his passion project, developing a proof of concept and pitch for his animated series, "Reaper," as his MFA thesis project.

He is looking forward to pursuing further opportunities in writing and production for animation. Over the course of his time at RIT, he has also written and directed three student films, "Cheating Death," "Yips," and "Phantom Hood." He served as the primary producer on both "Yips" and "Phantom Hood," and also served as the producer for "Cage of Ideals." He has experience working on live-action, mixed-media, and animated projects in a variety of roles including, but not limited to, assitant directing, script supervision, and animation color assistance.
